Expert Python, C/C++. Intermediate Ruby, C#, Java, Javascript. Some Erlang. Familiar with MySQL (internals development) and PostgreSQL. Extensive experience on Linux, Windows, OS X, and Solaris (AIX and HP-UX too, but I won't admit it). Experience at all levels, from hacking SCSI device drivers on Windows 2000 to database internals to jQuery, Django, and REST.

Cofounded a small software consultancy specializing in web, open source and custom software development.

Co inventor on US Patent 7,366,742. Funnily enough, I don't like patents - they don't do what people think they do.

I volunteer every week working with and teaching the local deaf community, and am fluent in American Sign Language.
